This renovation honored the legacy of one of Texas Tech’s most iconic buildings while preparing it for a new generation of visitors. Originally built in 1934, West Hall was repurposed as the university’s main Visitors Center. Our team helped bring new life to the structure through a carefully designed renovation that respected the historic Spanish Renaissance architecture while raising and expanding the third-floor level to accommodate new functional space.
We coordinated seamlessly with campus operations to ensure minimal disruption, preserving original limestone elements and stylistic details while integrating modern systems and interiors. The results earned multiple design awards and became a model for campus-compatible renovation work.
